The food is bar none...my favorite is chicken chimichanga...they cater to vegetarians, vegans, celiacs etc...so it is good for everyone...I have been eating here for over 10 years and is always good..the enchilada is more flavorful if someone is looking for a little spice. Oh yeah and the jalapeno lime sauce is to die for...

The person writing about Salvadorians is referring to the El Mariachi owners. the mariachi is not Mexican, but Mexican wanna-be, that is a twist of tex-mex. heck, it's not even tex-mex! it is salvadorian-mex! LOL

We read all the reviews about the Hot House that we could, on this website and others, since we needed someone to cater a large group event and we wanted to get the best possible (50th wedding anniversary!!). We could not be happier with Bonnie. She is AMAZING. Her food, service and staff are top notch. We (and I'm sure all of our guests) are becoming Hot House regulars.

friendly ,prompt , dreadful-We had the be blandest Caesar salad followed by the stodgiest falafel ever.No, we wont return

While on our way to stay at Sun Peaks, we stopped here for lunch. We were so impressed with the food and the service that we took a take out order with us to the resort, and drove in twice from Sun Peaks to have dinner, and each time again getting take out for the next day. The Hot House will be a permanent stop when we come through or around Kamloops!!!

Actually the El Mariachi people are down the street at a real dive down. I think that's where the 'hound' has been eating. Shame they didn't make it to the Hot House. Best food in BC. I had the tequila chicken salad last week for dinner and I think it was the best meal I've ever had! Great food, local people!!! GO BC!!!!

Great, healthy and beautiful food. Not sure why 'Hound' says the owners are from Salvadorian, because I met both Bonnie and Laura, and they're not. Turns out Bonnie was raised in Kamloops herself, as were her two daughters, the oldest who runs the restaurant with her. The food and service were excellent.

the owners and operators are SALVADORIAN. hte cook is from anywhere BUT mexico. the food is awful and presentation lacking. customer service is slow and for the price, you expect the REAL stuff, including customer service.

this bistro offers great fresh food! you can taste that everything is homemade with love. the service staff is efficient and knowledgeable about the menu items. when i am pasing through kamloops this is a must stop!!

Visiting from Vancouver with friends and they wanted us to enjoy this Bistro and boy were they right. The slow roast pork was the best enchilada I have ever enjoyed. My girlfriend who is very fussy had the prawn dinner, this place is on our eat out list when ever we are in Kamloops. Stu

WE have been eating at the Hot House for years and the quality and homemade flavours of the food are so good. My husband loves the slow roasted beef and I enjoy the falafel. This is the place for consistent delicious food. Maxine and Roy

fantastic food, best mexican around!!!!

I always came to this restaurant for some mexican food. not bad, didnt really have other options. i really dont know how this restaurant is going to keep up with the new mexican restaurant (El Mariachi). Alot of people dont know about this new restaurant, but once they do, forget about fake mexican food. El Mariachi is authentic. The cook is authentic.

Was in Kamloops for Mainstage (TBC Theatre Festival) and we ate there most days.
Food is terrific and if what we wanted wasn't on the menu they made sure they made it for us.
Even better than our Mexican-International Restaurant (Don Diegos) in Terrace BC, and thats saying something

We enjoyed the Mexican food here, but we were disappointed that they didn't offer any guacamole on their menu. Overall, pretty good.
